From the Latin word excelsior, comparative of excelsus (“high”)., it epitomizes The Excelsior Floor at M Boutique Hotel, Ipoh. However amid the colourful display, there are other undertones in play on our highest floor at M Boutique Hotel Ipoh. In the animal kingdom, the fight for supremacy is a daily way of life, as dictated by the food chain. This battle for position in nature inspired us to come up with a design that showcases the vast colourful spectrum of nature. Blending this with a typical English Cottage setting in keeping true to our overall urban vintage setting.
The rooms on The Excelsior of our Hotel is in complete contrast to all the floors below, through the use of bold colours against pastel backgrounds. We have also peppered this floor with travel themes from around Europe, like the butterflies who migrate every year to different parts of the world. Adorned on the walls are pictures of various insects that consistently remind us about the progression of life; dominance and survival, a normal daily routine, claiming their rightful positions on the food chain, destructive yet beautiful.
